Grants play a vital role in supporting our schools. They provide additional funding that helps us expand programs, purchase needed resources and create new opportunities for students and staff. 

Before applying to any external grant, it is essential that the request is reviewed and approved internally, (this DOES NOT apply to the NSD Foundation grants). 

This ensures that:

• The grant aligns with district goals and priorities.
• Duplicate applications are avoided.
• Reporting and compliance requirements can be supported.
• Funding is coordinated across schools and departments.

1. Complete the Internal Grant Request Form – All staff members must first submit the Internal Grant Request Form – Click here to submit form. This form provides details about the proposed grant, including its purpose, funding source, deadlines and how it will benefit students or staff.
    
2. Administrative Review and Approval –  Once submitted, the request will be reviewed by district leadership and then submitted to the Neosho School Board for approval, per DESE. Approval is required before any application can be submitted to the granting agency.
    
3. Submit the External Application – After approval, staff may move forward with completing and submiting the external grant application. NSD may provide support with required documentation, budgeting or reporting needs.
