“You don’t need to have super powers to be a superhero.”
Dear Benton Families,
I’m excited to begin a new year of learning and growth with you and your student. We have amazing things planned for Benton Elementary, starting with a Superhero theme to begin the year! Some great improvements have happened over the summer at Benton, including freshly painted walls with some accent colors, new Wildcat decals throughout the building, and our parking lots were sealed with new asphalt. Additionally, we now have air conditioning in our gym!
We welcome new staff additions to Benton with two new teachers and two transfer teachers from the Middle School. Crystal Boyt will be working with the second grade team and Hannah Burdick will be working with the first grade team. Joining us from the Middle School is Lauri Holcomb, teaching third grade, and Kara Eutsler, teaching fourth grade. We are thrilled to have these four teachers join us at Benton!
I encourage all parents to get involved and join our Parent Teacher Organization, or PTO. It’s a great way to model the importance of school to your student, support our teachers and staff, and become a part of the Benton family. We will continue to have our WatchDog Dads and All Pro Dads programs as well. Be watching for ways you can participate in these important programs through our monthly newsletter and the school calendar.
The entire Benton staff and I are looking forward to an exciting year and can’t wait to connect with you and partner together in your child’s educational journey! Please don’t hesitate to call if you have questions. Let’s make it the best year yet!
