Mr. Ryan Sheffield | JSC Director

Ryan Sheffield joined the Jefferson Street Campus staff as a teacher in 2007 and became director in 2019. Over this time, he has become deeply invested in the program and is dedicated to its mission of providing the best possible education to all students. Mr. Sheffield believes in the transformative power of learning, is passionate about pursuing and sharing knowledge, and is committed to helping young Jeffersonians become well-rounded, thoughtful, responsible, civically-engaged individuals.. He graduated from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas in 2005 and earned his Master’s Degree from Missouri State in 2017. When he’s not at work, you can find him floating and fishing on local streams, foraging for wild mushrooms, or playing with his food; he loves to be outdoors and to cook.

Mr. Glenn Oney

Glenn Oney began teaching for Neosho School District nearly 20 years ago. In 2000, Mr. Oney accepted the challenge of teaching U.S. History and Government at what was then known as the Southwest Alternative Education Center. While many things have changed during his tenure, including the program changing its name to the Jefferson Street Campus, his passion for teaching young people has not. Mr. Oney earned two degrees from Missouri Southern State University and spent almost a decade furthering his education in the Teaching American History grant program with fellow Southwest Missouri history teachers.

Mrs. Angela Fry

Angela Fry began her career as a junior high social studies teacher and volleyball coach at Seneca and has now been a part of the Neosho School District for the past nine years.  During this time, Mrs. Fry has taught social studies, English, and computer literacy skills.  Angela graduated from Missouri Southern State University and is a proud Lion!  Mrs. Fry is currently working on her master’s degree coursework in reading from Arkansas State University.  She can make bowl-scrapin’ chili on a cool fall day and strives to treat all students how she wants her own sons to be treated: with grace, compassion and consistent direction toward life and educational goals.

Mrs. Charmaigne Hedrick

Mrs. Hedrick attended Jr. High and High School in Kansas City. She is a huge Royals and Jayhawks fan.  She earned her BS degree from the University of Kansas and a Master's degree from Rockhurst University. Three years ago, she moved to Northwest Arkansas. Charmaigne thinks that teaching science is the best job in the world. When she is not teaching she likes to read, travel and spend time with her family. The kids here at JSC are amazing, and she is so thankful for the privilege of teaching them.

Ms. Samantha Kibel

Ms. Kibel is a Pittsburg State University graduate. She joined the Jefferson Street staff in 2019 after teaching seventh and eighth grade English for five years at Carthage Junior High School. She also sponsored the Carthage Junior High yearbook class and the "Page Turners" after school book club/writers' group. During her time at CJHS, she had the opportunity to meet and work with some of the most inspiring young people, and she can't wait to see the important things they continue to accomplish in their lives.

As an English teacher and self-proclaimed book addict, Ms. Kibel has a passion for getting students excited to read and connect with texts that make them see outside themselves and deepen their understanding of their world. She wants all students to feel valued and empowered to create the lives they deserve and is excited to be a part of the Jefferson Street community.

Mrs. Nicholle Bayless

Mrs. Bayless has been teaching since 2012 in science, computers, math, ELA, and social studies. She attended both Crowder and MSSU and enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring new places with her husband and two dogs. Her son inspired her to become a teacher, and she loves it.
